Keeping Our Cool...

In the spring of 2010, the Trowel Club took the initiative in replacing half of our dated climate control system (the unit that controls the kitchen and dining room).  We raised a significant amount of funds from voluntary donations, and the rest through our monthly breakfasts and fish fries.  Thanks to the these brothers, and the generous labors of Bro. David Berry, the dining room remained quite comfortable during the summer.  Of course, as Murphy would have it, the unit that cools other half of the building reached the end of its life in August...

The Trowel Club has been at work again to secure the funding to replace this system before the warm weather is well upon us.  Bro. Berry will begin work this week, but he will be doing so short of the full cost balance.  One-time donations are definitely welcome, and we will be discussing further fundraising at next week's stated communication.

After this new system is installed, we expect to realize significant savings on our monthly electricity costs with the dual efforts of two high efficiency heat pumps.

The major infrastructure projects are slowly being completed.  Let's keep the momentum going.
